Membership
All PAL members shall adhere to the PAL Rules and Regulations, which are as follows:
- Members will have a positive mental attitude.
- Members will attend practice in order to participate in games.
- Swearing or fighting during PAL activities may result in suspension or cancellation of membership.
- Members are drug, alcohol and tobacco free.
- Appropriate conduct is to be displayed at all times during PAL activities.
- Participation in PAL activities shall constitute permission to use the name, likeness or any other identification of the player for advertising, publicity, instruction or any other purpose in connection with the program, at any time without compensation or the right to prior review or approval by the player and/or his/her parent or guardian.
Notification of Parent in Case of Emergency
It will be the responsibility of the PAL coach or PAL program specialist to notify the parent/guardian of any emergency which may occur to a PAL member during a PAL event.
Injury to a PAL member/participant during a PAL event
Immediate first aid shall be the responsibility of the PAL staff in charge of the event or activity. If warranted, emergency services shall be notified for medical care. The PAL staff in charge of the event/activity shall then contact the Program Specialist and notify them of all injuries that occurred during the PAL event. The Program Specialist shall then determine if an injury report is necessary to file. If the injury is serious in nature and an injury report is filed, the Executive Director shall be notified of the injury. The Executive Director will then investigate the accident/injury and keep updates about the youth's condition posted.
